Things people HAVEN'T said to me about Brexit

I've mentioned before how many national flags I've seen filteringf not only from civic buildings but also hinges.

My brother asked me about EU flags.....

EU flags?... Plenty adorning bits of infrastructure that the pooled resources of Europe have funded. They must be kicking themselves here about the lack of sovereignty this represents.

I've had lots of discussions about Brexit. It's usually the first question that people ask me.

Things that I've not heard said yet are:

"Yes, that Brexit thing is a great idea"

"Sure looks like you're taking back control eh!'

"We're really jealous of all those better trade deals you are going to be able to negotiate now that youryo removing yourself from the biggest trading block in the world"

"We really didn't want all those specialist jobs at the European Medicines Agency that have come across from Britain "(insert almost any other industry or agency name here)

Overall the whole Brexit debacle is normally bracketed as a moment of madness akin to the election of Trump.

Yes, overallovera bewilderment about Brexit
from the people I've spoken with. They look at me like you would some old aunt that's gone a little potty. Still.... We've got our sovereignty back.... And possibly blue passports, so it's all worth it.
